The original chezaBLOG header: chrome-yellow ChezaBlog lettering on a purple grid, with comic drawings of Chezaday and a Chezababethe daily adventures of a magic superhero

The whole blog, recovered

In January 2005 Steve moved his journal into a young piece of software called WordPress and wrote steadily for six and a half years. The database survived every server move since. This archive renders every surviving post in full — nothing paraphrased, nothing cleaned up.

… and then, one postscript

When the site was rebuilt in 2012, the old blog was imported into the new database. It got exactly one more post, on April 25, 2014 — the last blog words ever written on chezaday.com:

As you might have noticed, we have an all-new website. My buddy Greg really streamlined things and brought it up to date. It's been some time since I sat down and wrote my thoughts. Most of my recent adventures can be seen in small snippets on Facebook ... it seems to be what everyone is doing these days. I'm not even sure if I'm in the right section here on my website ... but, we'll see if this works. Looks like my last entry was almost three years ago ... if you can believe that! So much has changed ... yet, so much has remained the same.

I was up early this morning ... and we're preparing for our return to the original Wizardz Magic Theater in Florida in just a few weeks. We're excited to see our friends down there ... and hit the parks of course. It's been a few years since I've been to Disney World. It's odd ... but, I just can't seem to get enough of it the older I grow. Speaking of ... I'll be turning 48 next month, I can't believe it myself. Unlike others ... I have no reason to hide my age. I'm in good health and I've got all my hair ... that's about all that counts!

I guess we'll keep it short for now ... and we'll see if I can actually post this little draft. I promise ... it will be less than three years before my next post!

Museum note. These are the real posts, rendered verbatim from the surviving chezaday_com_-_wordpress database (read-only) with the blog's own header art. Typos, ellipses and all — that's how Steve writes. Part of the Chezaday Time Machine. The comment count is real: WordPress kept 349 comments and its spam filter had flagged every single one — no genuine reader comment survived.
